Now that many New Year Resolutions have dissolved rather than resolved…..
Let’s consider why New Year resolutions to lose weight and get in shape don’t work…
Generally resolutions are extrinsically motivated not intrinsically motivated meaning - we hear constant messages how we need to resolve to lose weight, get those washboard abs, trim down, etc. etc. etc. – and cognitively we know that it is true BUT we haven’t committed it to our gut level to make the necessary changes to get it done.
Committing to a lifetime of healthy living.
We jump on the latest 12 week program and hope that we can look like all those on the infomercials that tout their body beautiful achievements and then we follow the regimen (almost) for 60-90 days and wait to see the miraculous results.
The on again off again 12 week Jump Starts are just that – jump starts. Starting is important but if we aren’t committed to finishing….we are susceptible to the yo-yo syndrome that has driven our population to all time high statistics of being overweight, obesity, and numerous chronic diseases – all perpetuated by poor lifestyle choices.
We must develop an Action Plan (Solution/Results Oriented) that will lead us into a lifetime of feeling healthy, vital and energized.
We, here at Franciscan Health and Fitness, are committed to be a resource, provide support and help you find your “why” and “how”.
Such Results Oriented Solutions are:
• Small Personal Training (SGT Training)
• Personal Training
These Solutions assist you in:
• Setting realistic/attainable goals
• Providing an accountability and evaluation system to keep you on your healthy path
• Providing you with progressive workouts and plans that are personal to you
• Providing key components of injury prevention, flexibility, mobility, progressive strength training
• Metabolic conditioning for OPTIMAL FAT BURNING!
If YOU are looking for a solution of a lifetime of fit and healthy – please see our membership coordinators to not only get started but move toward the finish line.
