What do you use “sticky notes” or Post-It notes for in your household? A reminder on your steering wheel to pick up bread and milk? Love notes in your kid’s lunches? As a honey-do list for your hubby? For the second year in a row, we’d like to help you change it up and use them to do something for yourself!
Our Chicago Heights Athletics Manager, Asa Slaughter, told us how the Post It note challenge has made him think, "2020 reminded me of the importance of setting goals. I am a marathon runner. In 2019 I ran 3 marathons, 2 half marathons and a total of about 800 miles for the year. When the pandemic shut down all the 2020 races, I got totally off track and have since stayed off track. Just preparing for this Post-It challenge has reminded me that it's time to set some goals again. My first Post-It goal will be to sign up for my first race since 2019. Let’s go! What goals will you set in 2022?"
Stop by our Post-It Note Boards to create your weekly goals. It can be as little as drinking an extra 32 oz of water each day to hitting 10,000 steps on your Fitbit before bedtime. Have a Myzone belt? How about a MEP goal for the week and promise yourself to participate in the Myzone Challenge each month! Or find more “Me time”, incorporating relaxation techniques or yoga. Our goal is to help you start 2022 more physically and mentally healthy and ready to face whatever the year brings.
When your goal is accomplished, take it off the board and place it in the “I did it” bucket. Miss a goal that week? Aim for the same goal next week. Need help focusing on or remembering what your goal is? Snap a picture of it with your phone for reference.
If you are ready to take small steps in the right direction, we are here to help you measure those efforts, goals, and successes!
