Whatever happened to the Marathon you planned on running last year? Did the Pandemic get in your way? Somewhere between the virus, the holidays and, of course, bad weather, it can be hard to check things off your personal “to do list”. Well, if a Marathon is on your list - here is your opportunity! For the month of February, we are hosting a Marathon Challenge Event at all three Clubs with no running or walking unless that's what you want to do!
At your Club, you will find Marathon station which includes a grid that is posted to help you track your progress from start to finish. You decide which marathon length you want to go for and try and reach that total amount of miles within the month.
First, pick a level (Half-13.1 miles, Full-26.2 miles or Ultra-52.4 miles). Every hour of exercise you complete, equals 1 mile toward the marathon of your choice. For example, if I worked out for 2 hours, that is equal to 2 miles of my marathon.
Next, write your name on the Marathon Challenge board in the color that corresponds with the level on which you want to complete.
Half 13.1=13.06 hours
Full 26.2=26.12 hours
Ultra 52.4=52.24 hours
Then, using the markers provided, color in a square for each mile that you complete each day. No registration or directions to follow, it’s that simple. Have even more fun by getting a workout buddy to sign up with you and then race to the finish line!
